I'm finally back and it's been way too long. I have many excuses for not posting anything since May, but it all comes down to working 50+ hours a week and spending time with family. I'm only bowling one time a week now and my knee appreciates it very much. I'm still carrying a 216 average, but I'm still very inconsistent. A few weeks back I had a 274-242-270/ 786, my new highest series. I missed a 10 pin in the second game, otherwise I could have had my first 800. -shrug- Maybe some other time.
I hope everyone is safe, happy, and enjoying bowling this season. I'll do my best to keep writing a couple times a week and I hope to get reacquainted with the friends I made in the past. Take care everyone.
Well, I bowled in the Ohio state tournament over the weekend and I underwhelmed the pins. Even my world famous stare down couldn't sway a few of them to fall down. Doubles-195-180-193/568, Singles-257-208-179/644, Team-220-198-193/611. It didn't seem too difficult getting to the pocket, but getting something to carry was the key. There were plenty of times when I thought I had a strike, but a 10 pin or a 7 pin stood up and flipped me off. I guess I can't complain too much since I only had 2 games under 190, but when you carry a 210 plus average, I expect more out of myself. No more tournaments this season, so my bowling is finished. I can use the break. Well, actually, my knee could use the break. If I haven't told you before, I've had 5 surgeries on my left (sliding) knee. Yeah, its happy the season is over. Take care, everyone, and enjoy the week.
